Sorry if this is not the right aera. I was wondering about smoke grenades? Are they leagal to own? Where can they be purchased? How much should I expect to pay per grenade? Thanks for the help.

Yea smoke grenades are legal and are not regulated by NFA.

You can pick up M18 smokes on various gun auction sites.  Usually in the $75 range.

There's also companies that make an equivalent for around $30.
