This is by far not my first can. I'm trying to figure out what would be a good host for my TiRant 45 that begin its hopefully not so long journey in NFA jail.
I am looking not to spend crazy money for a mall ninja Tier 1 Black Ops Assassin pistol. As much as I would like a FNX 45 Tactical with RMR...I don't have that amount of cash to throw down all at one time. I could save up until my can is approved...but that won't be fun as the transferring SOT has a in door range and want something pretty soon. I would like something suppressor ready out the box. I am open to all suggestions...pistol or "rifle". I've looked online for out the box ready pistols. It's definitely not something that is going to be part of my EDC. More for home defense and range toy. Here's my list so far- XDm 45 Glock 21sf M&P 45 FNX45T 1911? HK 45 What say the hive and why. Heck, I'll even throw in a poll...if I can through my potato. |

My .45 suppressed hosts are: USP Tactical, FNX45 Tactical and two Kimber 1911s that I added threaded barrels to.
The one that feels the best in my hand (as well as being the one I shoot the best) is the USP Tactical. The 1911 is a close second. Nothing wrong with the FNX45 except the grip feels a little too big for me and the whole thing gets quite heavy with a fully loaded mag, suppressor and slide mounted red dot. YMMV - what works for me may not necessarily work for you and vice versa. |

Why? Just would like to know why this pistol over the others. |

I have a threaded Remington 1911 R1 with suppressor sights.
No .45 can though. ETA: Attached File |

Of the choices listed, I voted FNX 45 Tactical. Mild recoil in not an overtly huge gun (with the slimmest back strap installed). I've never had a single failure and serves as a great nightstand gun. Biggest pluses in my opinion:
1. Threaded .578x28 (typically included piston with a 45 can) 2. Factory cut for an RMR 3. Factory suppressor height night sights 4. Standard mag capacity of 15 rounds Only other factory threaded options listed (I believe) would be the 1911, the XDm or the HK 45 tactical. At the HK's price point, there are better options out there in my opinion. I would say you should see what you can get your hands on and what you like the best. Personally, I hate the XDm platform. |

I've got a Glock 41 MOS waiting for my TiRant 45M when it comes in. It has a Trijicon RM06 3.25MOA on it. I actually have 2 identical 41 MOS w/Trijicons installed and one is listed on EE for sale. New & Unfired.
I was only planning on having 9MM Glocks but when I was looking for the TiRant 9M the Tirant 45M was a good bit lower cost so I bought it. Then on the 4th when Hansohn had their% off discount I grabbed a TiRant 9M as well. |

FNX45T.
Down sides? It is freaking huge. Heavy, but it is a full sized 45 acp with 15 rounds. (Possibly a light and RMR on it as well as the can.) not supper budget friendly, 45 ammo is not either. Magazines are $35-$45 each, so cheaper than HKs but not glock or AR cheep. Holster options, yeah, good luck with that..... Upsides Recoil is supper easy on the shooter. (I did mention fully kitted out it is a handful right?) It is fun to shoot. It is .45 acp. Magazines are not as spendy as HKs. 15 rounds and that can go fast or slow depending on the person behind the trigger. Single action/double action/decocker/cocked and locked. Lots of choices. Suppressor hight sites. Decent trigger, won't compare to your 1911 custom trigger jobs, but it is not like a glock out of the box. (Read yes we know there are good triggers out there for the glock but you have to get them after market.) Put your can on it, RMR, and light and you have a good bump in the night stick, and mall ninja Tier 1 Black Ops Assassin pistol. I really like mine, it is a hoot to shoot. |

They are awesome to deal with and have great prices with awesome lead times (2 weeks is possible). They seem to have great customer support. I spent literaly hours talking to the actual owner when i was deciding what handgun i should get for my first handgun. |

I'm a big fan of H&K 45's for suppressor hosts. Very smooth and suppress well. https://i.imgur.com/TEoK212.jpg |
