| Can I use a 9mm can or have to get a 45can? |

I've thought long and hard (that's what she said) about a suppressed FN5.7. But sourcing a threaded barrel for less than crazy money hasn't been fun. Suggestions? Tornado Technologies will extend and thread your barrel for $175..... which is more economical than buying a EFK or Jarvis replacement barrel ($300-400+). |

This is normally what we recommend, as the threaded ones are hard to source and expensive. IME on rifles, a 556K can is best for 5.7. For pistols, they are never going to be incredibly quiet, so I prefer a rimfire can for size, but 9mm cans work as well. Fun fact, the factory FN P90 cans are about 8" long and have a HUGE bore diameter. |
