I really like the Obsidian 45 but when I check out the manufactures web page they don't have any mounts in stock.
I have read I can use another maker's parts on this can but prefer to stick with oem. Another thing is the Obsidian 45 uses a fixed threaded end cap will the other company uses a spacer over the piston for a fixed mount. Can you use a spacer on the piston in a Obsidian 45 or you must use the fixed mount adapter? Any thoughts on this? |

As you can use silencerco pistons, you would be able to use their spacer. Waiting on my obsidian, I have acquired rugged brand pistons for metric 9mm and 45 acp, as well as a couple of 3-lug mounts. If needed, I have a silencergo 1/2x28 piston and fixed mount.
I would think piston availability will improve from here. Keep an eye out on hansohnbrothers, quietriot, capital armory, and silencershop for mounts. They are out there. |

Our pistons are propriety in that they do not utilize the slots found in other manufacturers designs. This allows for a full circumference gas seal that eliminates most of the gas blowback common in other pistol suppressors. The Obsidian will work with SilencerCo Octane pistons, however you'll notice a slight increase in blowback due to the slotted pistons. The Obsidian will work with either a spacer or the fixed mount. While using the fixed mount you will not need a piston or spacer. The Obsidian comes with a .578x28 piston, which is standard threading for most 45 ACP pistols. Thanks!
