I went back through all the pages but did not see a topic on this at least in the last 5 or so months and it seems gemtech may have gone through a few port variations before going no port.

Who has one of the newer non ported Mist models? Thoughts/feedback? I would just be using CCI SV and have no experience with integrals, only typical cans on 10/22's.

Curious how they compare. The whole 10/22 rifle/mist barrel setup is listed around $880.

Thanks

Personally I lost interest in the mist after I heard of the numerous issues with the ported variant.
The new non ported ones don't keep everything subsonic.

What issues? Oh, you mean like cleaning it once in awhile, because rimfire ammo is dirty?

Thanks for link and nice clam shell cover for the ports. If you were starting again would you still get a mist?

I think a 18" 10/22 and thread on can is pretty quiet so trying to decide if an integral rifle would be worth it.

Any issues cycling CCI SV in a non ported version?

Thanks. My Mist is now non-ported as it could never reliably keep bulk pack subsonic.

I would definitely get a Mist but not as a first/only rimfire can.

No problems with cycling CCI SV.

Liberty Pinnacle, Mist-TD, and HTA Fusion review

Here's a link to my thread.  Just got my non-ported TD Mist on Friday of last week.  Only thing I've shot through it so far is RWS subsonic.  After about 30 rounds it ran smoothly, brand new rifle though.  The RWS rounds all stayed subsonic.

I feel the Liberty is a better system, but cleaning the inside of the barrel is going to be a challenge.  I'm thinking of trying a 12-ga brush.
