Hey guys,

Need some thoughts on this (I'm sure I'm overthinking it, but figured I'd see what y'all thought). I have two 30 cal suppressors, an AAC 7.62 SDN-6 and Sandman-L. I want to suppress the following: AR-10 .308, Rem 700 300 WM, and 8'' 300 BLK SBR. My AR-10 and 300 BLK are already equipped with the AAC 51T mounts. However, I do have two of the DA mounts. One of those DA mounts is obviously spoken for by the 300 WM bc the AAC can isn't rated for it. My thought is to run the SDN-6 on the AR-10 only, and replace the 300 BLK 51T mount with the DA mount. I like to run the suppressor under the handguard, so the one hand removal of the sandman should be nice.

As I type if feel like this is a no brainer, but does this sound like the best set up to y'all? I guess I'm worried I'll miss out on awesome suppression for the AR-10, while the already quiet 300 BLK might sound pretty good with the SDN-6. Maybe I just need to forget running rail under handguard.

I'd just like to add that what I'd REALLY like to do is just sell the SDN-6 and buy a Sandman-S...but stupid NFA tax makes that sting too much.

Thanks!

My sdn6 does well on my ar10 and 300blk. I definitely wouldn't sell it. You'll have trouble making that happen and lose a bundle. I'd focus on a bigger can for the 300wm or ar10 and go from there. That way you have one that will cover all of your builds.

That's exactly what I would do.

I would probably dedicate the SDN-6 to the .300 BLK and use the Sandman for everything else

Whatever you do, I wouldn't sell anything. You're basically throwing a $200 tax stamp away doing that.

I'll add that the handguard under the suppressor looks cool as hell but is very impractical. Rifle cans get HOT.

Thanks for the replies...

Yeah, selling it is out. I'll prob take everything to the range one day and do some swapping around, just to see what sounds good. If there's no noticable difference between the two Suppressors on the 300 blk, then I'll prob dedicate the sdn6 to it.

I haven't had any heat issues yet with running the can under rails on the 300blk, although I don't think I'd want to do it with 5.56.
