I watched a YouTube video on cleaning and it looked like it had some use but not really dirty. The guy just pushed the baffle stack right out.
My baffle stack doesn't budge. I didn't want to start beating on it without being directed to do so.

Any recommendations?

On my Octane 9 the baffle stack also sticks. You can take the piston and spring out, flip it around, then push on or tap it lightly with a soft faced hammer to get the stack moving. The spring keeps it centered. You could also use something non marring like a wood dowel rod.

My Octane 45 sticks after just a couple hundred rounds also. Wooden dowel has worked fine when I've needed it.

I'm pretty sure the manual says to use a dowel or plastic rod or something to bonk the baffle stack out if you need to.

I just "cleaned" my Octane 45 this evening and the baffles were a bit stuck, I used a pen that was sitting on the table to poke the blast baffle and the whole stack popped right out. I say cleaned in quotes because I just take it apart to make sure everything looks ok and shake out the little bits of crap rattling around, I don't bother to really clean anything except wiping off the piston.

Thanks. I'll be looking for a broomstick in the morning.

I got my baffles out but the spacer is giving me fits.
Leave it in or soak it some more and try some more?

Thanks

Which spacer do you have - the one with petals or without?

I think petals; it looks like the bottom of the piston.

Easiest way is to get a dowel that's slightly smaller than the birdcage opening and push from the back. It shouldn't take too much force to push it out.

I got a Delrin rod from McMaster-Carr to push the stack out but a wooden one from a home hardware store should work just as well.

So everything moved out the front, like a fired round?

Thanks Engineer.

Yup - look at the Octane 9 Cleaning video to see what should come out (minus the extra baffle and half-baffle of the Octane 45).

The first one I had did not have the petals and was a bitch sometimes to get out. Silencerco replaced it with one that has the petals and it is much easier to get it out.

I found that turning the piston around with the spring on it and popping it gets the encapsulator out along with starting the rest of the baffle stack.  I made a video... kinda long winded but I also used a deep-well socket to the same effect.  Since then, I've 3D printed a tool for aligning baffles and removing them for cleaning.  Will do a video on that soon enough.

Tag.  My dealer filed Form 4 on this and a few other suppressors last week.

Thanks for the great video BadgerArms! It helped me a lot except I used a Marks a lot to knock out that cage thing.
