form 4 they say they are currently taking 5-6 months but actual wait times might exceed 9 months

I see it as a possibility with increased submissions to beat 41p

Yeah, right now Form 4 wait times are all over the map.  All of August to all of October, with the average being mid/late September coming back now.

No one really has any idea what they will go up to, after Sandy Hook it was a year... sooo... really difficult to say.  9 months wouldn't surprise me at all.

Form 3s as well, are all over the place.  We'll get one back pretty fast, then ones that are fairly slow.  Still all in that 3-8 week range for the most part though.

I'm waiting on a Form 3 from January 25.  C'mon....I need to get that Form 4 submitted!!!!  LOL

It really makes me wonder how many days of wait time are added with every day you waited to file, starting Jan 1.

Like I filed February 7, if someone filed March 7, will their wait be about a month longer than mine or would it be a parabolic increase? Seems like January we all heard about 41f, then as time went on the number of people applying daily has gone up as more people have been able to save money, do research, find one in stock, etc.

I heard from an anonymous source that the increased wait times happened because Silencer Shop dumped 50ish pounds of paper in ATF, not just because of 41P. I wonder how many Form 4s it takes to equal 50 pounds.

Wondering if a Paid for Pizza delivered by the trust will help

It kinda amazes me that moving a can from one dealer to another should take more than a few days, do they have a huge model with cans that they move like the flight deck on a LHD?

Probably a crappy job but one guy I spoke to years ago said he owned a 1928 so they arent anti-gun up there.

You are right a form 3 should be a 24 hour turnaround. Since they already have records of where the silencers are.

You mean, these boxes ?

Yea I would say its going to go waay up...

by my count a ream of paper is 20lbs thats 500 sheets 3 reams is 1500 sheets/6(form 4 sheet count) minus some weight for the box...

Thats roughly 240 stamps per 60lbs of boxes!

How many cans do you sell a month SilencerShop?

You forgot to include trust paperwork which is a variable due to everyone's trusts being written different and the fact that some of those are form 3's and some are form 4's

Yeah, I pointed out the lack of trust paperwork when he posted that elsewhere...but completely forgot about the F3 volume. But, don't they often fax/email the F3?

Good question.... I'm not sure if they can do the form 3 electronically

ETA: answer found! Although I'm wondering if even the faxed form 3s get set in said files/boxes as I'm sure they get hundreds per week

My form 4 from CapitalArmory was submitted 1/18 so I'm right at 2 months in jail.  I have no expectations of getting my can in before deer season in November.  My birthday is in late October so if it comes in I'll get a nice present from me.
