My osprey was released from jail today and I'm looking for suggestions of what threaded barrel (if there are more than one) and where to buy one.

This is one of my first suppressors so can someone tell me what this is:

It's the newer version of their takedown tool for removing/installing the piston assembly. Watch this video at around 1:15.

That's the POS tool they ship now instead of the nicer one they used to use. The three pegs fit into the rear of the Osprey to allow you to change pistons. You definitely should read the manual.

Do you also happen to have a G23? If so, you'd could buy a threaded barrel for the G23 and it also works in the G27. You can also buy the 9mm conversion barrels and shooter quieter ammo.

I run Lone Wolf barrels in all my Glocks.

As info, the tool uses the same spacing as the Saker (which is different than the Omega). The older/better tool can be seen in this pic:

And Saker tool looks like this:

Makes sense The can is a .45 so I'll need to change the piston for the .40. I'll read the manual for sure.

Lonewolf barrels are the ones I normally hear about, I'll look into them.

I do not have a G23. I'm actually considering a G19.

So this barrel

and this piston

are what I need for my G27?

That barrel will work. I do prefer the black ones, but that's just a personal preference.

You could've gotten the proper piston when you bought it, especially if you'll never use the .45 version. Might even contact SiCo (or your dealer) to see if they'll swap it as long as it's unused. You just need the one to match the barrel threads...9/16-24 for the LWD .40 barrels.

Don't try the G19 barrel in the G27. . You could buy the G23 and use a conversion barrel for 9mm, and still have the option to shoot .40 when you want. You just can't reconfigure a G19 to shoot .40.

Just saw the black one below it, lol.

I may use it on a .45 since I have a 1911 but we'll see.

Haha, yeah I wont be putting a 19 barrel in a 27, no worries. That's a good point though, I may just get a 23 and a 9mm barrel. The barrel is all I need to swap when I want to shoot 9mm?

Some folks need 9x19mm magazines, and some require changing the extractor &/or ejector, but not common.

Make sure to buy the conversion barrel for the 23, and not the 19 barrel.

As mentioned, some buy 9mm mags, some don't. I opted to buy some of the cheapo Korean/etc mags for shooting 9mm. Haven't had any malfunctions, even with the 33rd...but I don't carry it with the 9mm barrel so I won't care if has an issue at the range.

I have had 3 or 4 Lone Wolf barrels, and I've been happy with them.

While I did have a 9mm conversion barrel for the G27 and it worked well, I ended up selling it. I found I just didn't use it. By the time you put an 8" can on it, you end up with a pretty large package. I end up shooting my full-sized Glocks much more often.

If the G27 is the only Glock you have, by all means get a threaded barrel for it.

Man that's funny looking. I've had a few different model glocks, I just keep trading them for others instead of keeping them. I'm eyeing one of the new gray framed g19's which will probably look terrible with a fde can.
