Magpul just announced some high cap Glock mags too!!! Seems like a winning combo. Yup Wouldn't touch Magpul Glock mags with a 10 foot pole with their track record. ![]() I thought they fixed their initial hiccups. |

Magpul is solid, and if there ever is an issue they get you taken care of. They fixed a particular product. I hope they learned something from that. While I have faith in their CS to some degree, I don't have faith in their QC. ETA: Not looking to derail the Maxim thread. Just saying I don't want to guinea pig their next round of Glock mags. |

Ordered them several months ago so I assume they are the revised versions. |

What advantages does this integral suppressor offer? Seems like you lose out on the ability to swap hosts... for what benefit? I am guessing it may have a ported barrel or some way to keep all rounds hearing safe through it. Also don't have to worry about keeping a can tight. It's pretty cool and hopefully the price won't be too bad. |

Looks printed. What trigger is that? Looks familiar, like an aftermarket Glock trigger. Quoted:

No rail for a weaponlight kind of sucks This. Ultimately, I don't think I would ever really be in the market for this product. But I know a lot of people will, and ultimately it's going to lead to where Kevin Brittingham has pushed for: integral suppressors for every gun. |

That still a prototype? That grip looks atrocious. Of course it's a prototype. Have you ever seen a finished product that looks like it came out of a $500 3D printer? It does look cheap. Definitely has the cool factor though but to design a whole new gun sounds silly to me. I wonder why they moved away from the S&W M&P. Did SICO get a cease and desist letter?

From The Firearm Blog:
The Maxim9 back then was built off a modified M&P9. Now SilencerCo is going to make the entire gun themselves. One major change is that it will use Glock 17 magazines rather than M&P mags. The grip on this display model is 3D printed. Another change they made to the design is entertaining the idea of making the suppressor modular like the Salvo12 and the Micro Osprey. This way the end user can maintain the suppressor and tune the length for particular rounds. There is talk about milling the top of the suppressor to countersink an optic. And there are some ideas of making a channel in the bottom of the suppressor for a laser/light module of their own design rather than just slapping an accessory rail and hanging more things under the suppressor. |

Imagine passing legislation that forced LE agencies to provide integrally suppressed guns for officers as an OSHA safety reg....makes your mind wonder huh? That would be my end game if I were SiCo. As long as the firearm is duty ready and runs 100% I don't see why you wouldn't want it. When I handled the original prototype at Maxim Vice I was impressed with how handy it was and that it didnt seem that cumbersome. |

Considering they are making the gun from scratch I'm more worried about the thing running efficiently than a rail. Also get the damn grip angle right. That thing looks worse than a Glock grip. There is a reason M&PS are popular. And no I don't own any M&PS. |

But I would think more people and LEOs use Glocks. |

Invent something revolutionary that nobody else is doing, people bitch that it's not coming out soon enough... If it really runs 100%, it could absolutely make an impact on some SWAT teams, etc. It would be too expensive for general issue to police departments. One of the reasons Glocks are so popular is because they sell to agencies for next to nothing. |

Quoted:
You all need to remember the grip is not done. This is still a prototype and is far from the finished grip. They had to bring something to SHOT that functioned and used Glock mags.... Here is the original... Curious how many mags ended up in the drink that day

It seems like a really interesting idea, but with the stuff that's they're still experimenting with, and trying to make other changes with, I'd be surprised if this comes out this year. They worked it out. It's basically a range toy right now. I like it, finger banged it forms while today, really comfortable. This year they'll be making more and doing the mil type testing and abusing it. |
