My Specwar-K is "stuck" and by stuck I mean stuck! Today i has shooting and transferring the can from my 14.5 to my 10.3 and after a few mags it wont budge!.. Any tips on how to remove it!? |

Let's see if we got this right, you screwed a hot silencer onto a cold barrel/mount then got it hot?
I wish you luck. That's about as bad a combo as you'll find. I would try standing it barrel down, spray lots of pb blaster or kroil on the threads and tapping the silencer gently with a rubber hammer. Tapping it on the muzzle end softly should help the oil work down into the threads then it's strap wrench time. I could be wrong but I always hit my threads with a tiny dab of high temp anti-seize when I install the silencer. When you put metal together it's always a good idea to have similar temps. |

My silencers get stuck all the time, especially firing on F/A. If it's really stuck, I take the can and put it in a vise (protected with the rubber insert, so as to not damage the can). Then I twist it loose. Don't use this method if the registered part of your gun is the receiver. It will damage the trunion by loosening it. I use this method on host guns that are replaceable. Btw, there really is no such thing as a truly F/A rated silencer. I've melted the internals and parts of several silencers. |
