I just picked up a TRG-42 in .338 and I'm looking for a suppressor. I have an AAC 51T mount and SDN6 suppressor for my TRG-22 but this can will replace that and be used on both. Any suggestions at or around $1000?  I don't want to drop $2k on a can. I ran across this Sug suppressor while going through some TRG accessories but haven't heard much about them at all. John from AAC went to work for Sig right?  Are they worth the $900 and does anyone here have one?  I've considered the harvester but not sure about spending that much on a suppressor. I can F1 my own but it's going to be SS and probably weigh 40+ OZ. while I don't need the bleeding edge of technology/weight savings, I don't want a 3+lbs suppressor creating substantial POI changes between suppressed and unsuppressed.

I've been around an AR platform .338 lapua with a Harvester big bore. No hearing protection needed 10' or greater away. It was impressive.

The SRD338Ti-QD hasn't hit dealer shelves yet. Should be soon.

What's the street price for the harvester big bore?  I don't have any stocking NFA dealers around and it seems all of the TX wholesalers seem to be dealer only now (I could be wrong...haven't bought a can in 5 years).

Take a look at the Precision Hunter 338 from us. Only 20 ounces, fairly small for a 338 can at 8.6" and 1.7" diameter   Full 17-4 stainless (for those that dont know this material is about 3 times the strength of 300 series stainless)  1145 msrp including a 2 port brake.

As far as sound reduction its 136 at the ear on a 338 bolt gun and 132 with a 6.5creedmore.  So it does well for sound performance, no hearing protection required.  If you want to convert it to 18x1 metric we have brakes available in that thread pitch and will eventually be coming out with Taper Mount Direct Thread interfaces in that pitch as well as 3/4x24.

AAC Titan thread-on is roughly in your price range and is outstanding. Worth the dough to step up to the titanium version.

I got to try out a Thunder Beast Arms .338LM suppressor a few months ago. I was actually stunned by how quiet it was.

ETA: About 1.8 times your price range. My bad.

Ultimately I would love one of Zac's cans...but with a second kid on the way and just purchasing this second TRG it's not a possibility in the near future. Im not sure if it's 1.8x better than other options in my budget for what I need it to do (and that's keep my tinnitus under control).

I believe it's the same as the 6.5cm on the meter. About 132 at the ear on a 20" bolt gun. There has not been a generation change

Is the brake on the muzzle end of the Harvester Big Bore removable/replaceable with a standard endcap like on SiCo's Omega?

Yep, I've got a TRG42 and this is the can that I've been eying. I have one in .300 and I've had many people comment that the lockup is better than many other QD cans on the market.
