| While i am waiting on my stamp i am planning my upper i will be using. It will be an 18in barrel spr/ precision, so my question is would there be any benifit to a rifle length gas system over a mid length gas system? I will most likely get an adjustable gas block but thought if i am already buying all the parts i might as well do the best i can to make it work right the first time. Thanks, KC |

Just wanted to mention that we initially did the 16 and 17.3 rifle gas barrels upon request of 3 gun shooters for the smoother recoil impulse. Rifle length gas is a dream to shoot suppressed...especially with the gas port optimized. We port the barrels of the 17.3's at .093" to handle most buffer/spring/ammo combinations. .082 is optimal which is what works for most BCG's and the JP SCS buffer/spring assembly. .063" for suppressed. Good luck with your build. |
