Silencerco Threaded Barrels
Has anyone had any experience with these? Especially the Sig P226 9mm model? The price is right, but I'm leary of buying a barrel from a company that just started doing barrels. Thank in advance for any opinions. JB |
| I would have bought one but was looking for 13.5x1. I asked and they said they have no plans on offering it but they just released a glock barrel in that pitch, so who knows. I'm sure they are well made though, and a good price. $150 something was the lowest I saw. But I ended up getting a 13.5x1 oem sig barrel from the EE. |
| I just bought and took possession of a Silencerco Sig P226 threaded barrel. The Sig Legion 226 that its going in doesn't arrive until Thursday so I can't speak for the fit and function yet. I will update when I can. So far, the fit and finish of the barrel is nice and the price was right. I did have to get a 1/2 x 28 piston. I would have preferred a 13.5 LH as I have a piston for that already but the factory 226 barrel was more expensive and not as easily accessible and I am a supporter of Silencerco so I went this route. |

Quoted: I got it installed today, I will let you know how it shoots http://www.jerzeedevil.com/photos/data/500/medium/Legion_4.jpg You put an inch-threaded barrel on a Legion?!?!?!? ![]() Just kidding - it looks great! |

My P226 barrel won't cycle suppressed reliably. I've put about 200 rounds of 147gr through it and can't get through more than 5 rounds without a failure to return to battery. Interestingly enough shooting 115gr through it I have better reliability. My barrel appears to have too tight lockup... I talked to SiCo once but I'm debating seeing if I can send them my top end and having them fix it.
FYI the gun is a trade-in .40 I bought a new 9mm top end for. |

Curious, how much was a 9mm top end? |
