So I've finally gotten my sparrow and some handgun hosts to the range to really sight in (previously backyard plinking, just going for minute of pumpkin).
On both hosts (Ruger 22/45 and ppq m2 .22) I'm knocking bullseyes out without the can at 12-15 yards, but with the can poi shifts 6" to the right. Is this normal? Seems pretty drastic at 15yds. The adaptor on the ppq is a silencerco, so compatibility should be good. No baffle strikes that I can see and no keyholing on the target. Is this a normal poi shift, or is something fucky? And help would be appreciated, thanks! |

On my M&P 22c it shoots about an inch low but windage is perfect with the Sparrow. I did notice that my baffles are in almost perfect vertical alignment to the barrel when tightened down. I checked it without the tube so I could see if the threads were binding on the O ring. 6 inches does seem like a lost at 45 feet.

If you take the Sparrow apart and just thread on the monocore, does it look like it's seating properly? Is the o-ring engagement nice and even or is the o-ring bulged/torn/skewed? Is the shoulder of the adapter nice and clean and free of debris? Yes to all and the o ring is in perfect shape. This one is a definite headscratcher. Maybe I will try what bluesfan said and screw it on and check barrel alignment with the baffles? |
