My local SOT had some new cans (sig 22 too) in stock that I had never heard of before.
Keystone Armory out of Oklahoma I believe. They has the Situator rimfire in aluminum core ($240) and SS core ($280). F/A and 5.7 rated on the SS, everything but 5.7 for the Aluminum. It was a cool 1 piece core - first baffle was a K baffle and the rest was a monocore like a GM22. The back end cap is the registered part and they had black, gray, or pink cerakoted (?) versions. They also had a Ti-rant 45 that had been tumbled and bead blasted. That was nifty looking Anyways, thought I'd share |
| My form 4 should be in before December. I have the aluminum version. I have only been able to shoot it indoors, and the aluminum version sounds a bit louder than my sparrow. I also have access to the SS version as well and will compare it to my sparrow. I also believe that the have changed the design of there monocore, they sent the store brand new monocores that were slightly different than the old ones as replacements . |

I just took a look at them, the K baffle to mono core idea is kind of interesting, i would be curious how it sounds and meters. I like the cone to k baffle designs (mask) but i can't really think of one designed like that (cone/k into a monocore). I wonder what effect that first baffle would have on the FRP.
Sending new mono cores to the dealers sounds a little sketchy, i didn't think you could send out replacement baffles like that. I know there have been some newer interpretations of those rules lately pertaining to end caps (Saker/Octane/etc.) but i didn't think that applied to baffles. either way the more stupid the rules are, the more confusing they can get. -Mike |

Lol (Sodomy) UCMJ ART 125 "(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration , however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense. (b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial may direct." just one of the more ridiculous things in the UCMJ, the however slight part just made it particularly humurous to me. Then again the blue jackets manual also informs females that they should be wiping front to back -Mike |

I already have a mask, sparrow, and form 1 can but I haven't really found something I want bad enough to pull the trigger -Mike |

You can pm if you would rather. |

I really bought it because the baffle design interested me but i will post some comparisons as soon as the ATF gets around to stamping my paperwork. I'm hoping its as good as all the reviews are saying because then ill probably jump on the mask micro that is supposed to come out in a couple months. -Mike |

To answer an earlier question, the Mask blows the sparrow out of the water as far as dB reduction goes and sounds much, much better on a pistol. (It has basically no first round pop).
With the Keystone can... I need to do more testing on mine, but it sounded really good on a rifle when I took it out a couple times. For a pistol can, I would use the Mask. On a CZ bolt gun, the Keystone did sound pretty good. |
