I just picked up my first nfa item from my dealer, a TiRant 9. The first thing I did with it was disassemble and reassemble it. After reassembly it seemed like the baffles rattled a bit more than I thought they did prior to disassembly. I'm fairly sure I reassembled it in the correct order. Is it normal for the baffles to rattle a bit? Also I noticed a burr on the endcap threads. I'm not sure if I should try to lightly file it down myself or contact aac and see what they'll do. I looked inside the tube and the female threads didn't appear to have any issues from the burr.
The pic is kinda crappy but this is what the burr looks like. it's on the right side of the uncoated thread.

It shouldn't rattle, there is a top baffle (heavier one, no notches on top to stack against) and a bottom one (same weight as the other baffles, just no notches on the bottom)

Mine rattles before I tighten it up all the way, but once it is tight, it doesn't rattle.

Here is a copy of the manual

Make sure you have the outer tube facing the correct direction. It will screw in either way but not correctly.  I believe that the piston side threads are a little shallower so it makes sense that it marred your threads.

Shouldn't rattle. As was said before mine will rattle if I don't tighten the end cap Down all the way.  There is a slight amount of resistance when tightening the end cap From the O-ring I believe, but just keep tightening it until it stops and the rattle should stop also assuming the baffles are in correctly

The endcap will be slightly below the surface of the tube when tightened down fully. Should not rattle.

Apply some hi-temp anti-seize.

I have a TiRant.

1.  End cap is fine.  Use some anti-seize on it.

2.  Take the baffle stack out, make sure it's assembled correctly and reinstall.  It absolutely shouldn't be rattling - one of the baffles is misaligned most likely.  Remember that the last baffle is unique and can't be interchanged with others.

Pretty much this. Use a little grease on the o-ring to lessen the resistance of the o-ring against the tube.
