internal thread pitch.
What is it? What else will the mount fit on? Google has not been my friend. |

The standard 9mm size is 1/2x28 for most semi autos. Aye. I'm trying to ascertain what the threads on the can itself are, or what the threads on the outside of the fixed mount are. If I knew how to correctly describe what I'm looking for, I might get better results. As in, what else will the fixed mount screw into? Not what it screws on to. I know they're made to match several barrel thread pitches. |

That way I could leave my Scorpion mount, which is useless anywhere else, on and turn it into a muzzle device. Or even a thread protector for it. |

I've never seen anything like that, but I bet you could get one made. Or check out the SiCo Octane brake and see if that would do what you want: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_20/443501_SilencerCo_Octane_BRAKE____.html Quoted:

You're not even worried about a concentric bore. You simply need a piece of tube threaded on one end. I have people around here that could knock it out, so I'm sure you have some on your side of the U.S. If you can't find one local, check with Aaron at ASG Fab. He's in WA (I think) and turned down three of my tubes and some spacer. You could either give him the specs, or send him the fixed mount. |
