I recently got a octane 9 and, among other guns, I want to use it on my 300 blk SBR with subs. I have an 8.5" bbl and the 9" seekins mcsr rail... So the barrel is tucked inside just a little bit. I'm using a direct threaded mount, 5/8x24. Lots of people using long handguards with cans these days. How do you keep the can and thread adapter together when removing the can from the bbl? When I go to remove it, the can body comes off and leaves the adapter attached to the bbl under the handguard where it's a total pita to get out.
I want to be able to use the can on different threads...bbls, so I don't want to just loktite the adapter on there. Any ideas for a noon with their first suppressor?

Strap wrench to assist in tightening on the end cap to the tube. A drop of Rocksett which for has been slightly stronger than blue loctite but holds up to the heat will also keep it on there but is removable when you need it.
Silver Anti-Sieze on the barrel threading can assist as well. |
