Does anybody have any experience with Lane?
I got to shoot some and really liked them....enough to order one. Just wondered if anybody else has one. |

I hate to be this way, but we've talked about them here before. I find it hard to believe that a suppressor with only 3 baffles (iirc) could take on cans from the big players from a dB perspective. I'd love to see them head to head with SiCo, AAC, and others. They, like you, happen to be from SD. I hope that is a coincidence. |

My search didn't bring up anything, could've been me.
I played with a couple of different models before settling on Lane. I'm a novice when it comes to cans so I guess I gotta start somewhere. I know they're from SD and I know some local folks love them. My local store carrys just about every brand or can get them. |

Not sure if their baffles are the most efficient, but they are certainly unique.
As much as I like going with known suppressors from the big guys, there is something special about supporting the little guys too. If someone buys one of these cans, please post your thoughts. |

I know someone in NC that owns a Lane Scorpion. It metered pretty well (You can see the results on NFATalk.org), however, it was on a 20" barreled AR15 using handloads, so it's hard to compare with others. However, the load data was also provided and it wasn't subsonic or anything. I was at that metering event and it sounded pretty good. Neat design and you can take it apart.
http://nfatalk.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10625 Unsuppressed was 160.5dB, suppressed was 131.14dB (1m left of muzzle) (Again, long barrel and hand loads: 55gr Hornady SPs loaded over 22.5 gr of surplus 2230) Here is a picture of the baffle stack:

I'll be out this weekend to shoot it with a couple of other guys shooting other cans, if they show up.
This is just their 5.56 can, not their magnum can. I'm trying to support the little guy. If this can sucks I'll just go with a bigger name next time....you cant have just one can right? |
