I stupidly bought this upper (2nd one from top)

http://www.pkfirearms.com/product_images/0001/8447/Noveske_10.5_CQB_-_VIS_KM-10_-_KX5.jpg

without asking about suppressor compatibility. The handguard is 10 inches according to pkfirearms, but it's actually 10.6 inches. 1.2 inches inside diameter and the barrel is 10.5 inches.  I couldn't tell from the image but the KX5 is inside the handguard about 1/2 inch, so mounting a specwar 762 probably won't work. So far I like it and do not want to return it but the purpose was really to be run suppressed. I have a 300 blk upper from the same place that shoots great. Besides asking for an exchange, is there a cheap way solve this? An extended mount perhaps? I think the muzzle brake will probably fit but not extend far out enough:

Pretty sure a re-barrel is the "cheapest" option.

Mill the rail to the proper length or get a longer barrel. An adapter of the length you're suggesting would greatly increase your chances of baffle strikes

you could always just replace the rail

Is the VLTOR VIS on of those uppers with an integral handguard? If so, putting a new barrel will probably be the cheapest solution.
