I bought a Spectre II and should have it mid June. That will be my first can and I am already pondering the next...
What is the logical next can? Center fire pistol or rifle? The only suppressor I've ever shot was a direct thread gemtech on an AR and I was less than impressed with it. I think it was very dirty and my expectations were to high. Regardless, I'm leaning towards a pistol can. Something that will do multiple calibers/platforms. Right now the Thompson Machine Isis2 .45 can is looking pretty good. From my understanding it'll work on 9mm, .45 and .300 blk subsonic and rimefire rounds. Any reason why this wouldn't be a good choice? Should I look at another can? Should a rifle can be on the roster before a pistol can? Looking for opinions and thoughts. All are welcome. |

My 556 AR's and 22's.
But like I said, I wasn't overly impressed with suppressed AR's. Another reason that the isis2 is so appealing to me is that I have 3 potential hosts (kimber 45, Sig P226 and Beretta 92G) and would push me to build a 300bo upper for one of my SBR's. |

My next one well hopefully be a dedicated 556 can. I have the rest already covered. Maybe you weren't impressed because you were using a gemtek? I haven't shot one of those but using the 30 cal can with 556 is very impressive.
And at $599 for AAC M42K it's kind of a no brainer |

I agree 100% on center fire rifle suppressors. They are very underwhelming in general. I'd pay the tax stamp if somebody gave me one but no way I'd drop $700-1000 on one. With suppressors, subsonic is where it's at and if you're shooting subsonic center fire rifle, you're basically shooting really expensive handgun ammo.
I've got one .22 can and another in jail. If I buy another suppressor, it will be a handgun can. |

Maybe you weren't impressed because you were using a gemtek? I thought about that. The owner shot a bunch of rimfire ammo out of a sealed 556 can so I'm sure that didn't help at all. I'm pretty sure that eventually I'll have a center fire rifles can too. Just getting opinions right now. |
