| So I've got it narrowed down to 2 suppressors, well kind of. It's between the Saker, Saker K, Specwar, & Specwar K. This will be a dedicated suppressor for my 5.56 AR, don't need a 7.62 can for anything. I will be mainly predator hunting w/ this AR, but I don't have experience w/ cans, so not sure if 5 oz. makes a difference or not. What are pros/cons to the above suppressors & which ONE do y'all recommend? Also, why the big diff. in price btwn the Saker & Specwar? Thanks again. |

After using my buddy's saker 556, I couldn't see the additional $400+ in value that a saker provided over a specwar. I bought a specwar YMMV When I went to my local Class 3, they had both the Saker and Specwar for the same price. I went with the Saker cause it was the new fancy model. But if price difference was really that big when I purchased, I would have gone Specwar.

So if I went Specwar, should I do the full size or the K (shorter version)? As stated above, go full size if you're after best suppression. If you shoot mostly at an indoor range, want it for home defense or you're taking a lot of classes that work around cars or cqb or just high round count then go with the k because you may like the shorter length and lighter weight at the end of your barrel and if you're surrounded by others on a firing line then the decibel difference in my opinion doesn't matter between the k and full size and you may like not having carried those extra ounces at the end of the day. |
