So I've got it narrowed down to 2 suppressors, well kind of. It's between the Saker, Saker K, Specwar, & Specwar K. This will be a dedicated suppressor for my 5.56 AR, don't need a 7.62 can for anything. I will be mainly predator hunting w/ this AR, but I don't have experience w/ cans, so not sure if 5 oz. makes a difference or not. What are pros/cons to the above suppressors & which ONE do y'all recommend? Also, why the big diff. in price btwn the Saker & Specwar? Thanks again.

Saker has more complex mount system and internal structuring.  More shop time to build = more cost.  If your just going to run it on a 556 ar and dont have any other cans or need a direct thread mount.......the specwar will suit fine.

I was just shooting my Specwar K and Specwar 762 this past weekend at my dealer's place. Both were quite enjoyable, and both got HOT in full auto :) My choice for a 556 only can would be the specwar 556k.

I prefer the saker but the specwar is still a good can.

Have both systems, but in the end, I prefer the Specwar because of its simplicity.

Buy a suppressor and grow into it. I say the omega.

After using my buddy's saker 556, I couldn't see the additional $400+ in value that a saker provided over a specwar.
I bought a specwar

YMMV

When I went to my local Class 3, they had both the Saker and Specwar for the same price.  I went with the Saker cause it was the new fancy model.  But if price difference was really that big when I purchased, I would have gone Specwar.

Happy to hear all the feedback I just bought a Specwar two days ago.

I own a specwar 762 & 556 and I really like them . That being said I got to fondle an omega at silencershop the other day and I would trade both of my specwars for 1 omega

if I didn't get such a good deal on my saker 762 I would have bought a specwar. The saker,in my opinion, does attach a little easier. But for normal pricing, the specwar is the best deal.

I went Saker 7.62 for multiple guns and Specwar K for sole 5.56 use. Wouldn't have had it any other way.

So if I went Specwar, should I do the full size or the K (shorter version)?

If you care about sound, full size
If you care about length, K

Happy with my pair of Saker 762s... Jealous, now that SpecWar mounts have the Omega. Will be happy, once again, when the Saker 762k comes out.

As stated above, go full size if you're after best suppression. If you shoot mostly at an indoor range, want it for home defense or you're taking a lot of classes that work around cars or cqb or just high round count then go with the k because you may like the shorter length and lighter weight at the end of your barrel and if you're surrounded by others on a firing line then the decibel difference in my opinion doesn't matter between the k and full size and you may like not having carried those extra ounces at the end of the day.
