So I'm assembling my dream Glock, and I want to suppress it. This will also likely be a nightstand gun. With that in mind, whats the deal with the AAC Evo? Why is it so cheap? Is it worth picking up? From what I understand, it was designed with the Glock 19 in mind. Does the performance reflect this, or would I be better off spending twice as much on a different suppressor?

The low cost is also very appealing with this being a nightstand gun. Should I need to use it, I'm only out $500 in NFA toys while it sits in jail for who knows how long. I just want a silencer I will still have fun with and enjoy the performance as well.

At one point the Evo was the cream of the crop. There are cans out there with newer/better features but I don't think you'll go wrong with the Evo especially for the cheap price.

The G19 is also a fantastic host. I'm not a glock person but it's still one of my favorite setups.

I bought one for the price...

I also have a TiRant 45 for the sub-caliber shooting but the dedicated 9mm gives it the freedom that you are mentioning.  With subs, all of the 9mm cans are going to be relatively close....they may meter differently but you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference in doors (they'll all be 'loud' to the ears).

I don't follow the mind set of budgeting NFA purchases but, realistically, this is a can that is more than sufficient, outdated it may be, to meet most needs.

You are gonna be hard pressed to find someone here telling you to sell a g19.  I Ccw mine.

Go ahead and get one, hell I got two.  Sure the TiRant and Octane are a little quieter and have more features, but they are also twice as expensive.  Its a great price for it, I'll compare it to my Octane 45 when it comes in, one of them is going on my bedside 9mm AR SBR.

Not necessarily, as I picked up a Ti-RANT 9 for $349 a week ago.  You just need to look around...
