I tried a search. Now I'm asking: how exact does it have to be, really?

I removed my birdcage and huge washer then tried it on my 51T-almost perfect.

No shims but loctite included.

I mounted/loctited it and tightened it.

Now, it is a C hair past opening on the top. How serious is this?
Have a coke and a smile and shut the fvck up or Lord, you done it now?

TIA

Are we talking about a flash hider or a muzzle brake?

Also from your post I can't tell if you put the crush washer back on or not.

If you didn't use any washers or shims, and it almost times correctly, you are fine. Assuming brake, hider doesn't need to be timed.
If you reused the crush washer, you should probably start over.

Muzzle brake, no shims but times almost perfect.

This is to attach my saker 556 with MAAD mount.

Thanks guys.
Hope I get another invitation to go shooting!

I have spent hours on some trying to get it perfect. Seldom if ever you're successful . If it's within a couple degrees, let it ride.

ETA...Do you already have the saker to aac mount? Mine is still a ways off and I am curious as to how well it works.

Same here. I have mounted 7 of them and it takes a lot of trial and error to get the right shim combo to clock it perfectly. At some point you really end up deciding when it's good enough and that is typically slightly off center.

If it was to be primarily used as a muzzle brake, then I would go the extra mile to get the ports clocked as correctly as I could, but if it is mainly going to be used as a suppressor mount on a non "precision" rifle then I wouldn't let it being a little off bother me at all.

I really hate timing brakes with shims, but it's just part of it. You can screw it down and stick shims under from the side to usually get close enough to save yourself a little time. I try to get the ports as even as I can.

Yes, I have the MAAD mount. I put it all together this morning(mounted the 51T Friday morning).
Nervous newb here, but it looks unlike most suppressed ARs.

I'd be really appreciative if someone could post a pic of an AR with a saker, MAAD mount and a 51T!
