There are some OCD types that may try to time a suppressor to get the lettering to be right side up/horizontal but that has nothing to do with performance. |

As Engineer said, it's usually the mount that is timed. On top of that, it's usually more for brakes instead of flash hiders, although some FH mounts benefit from this as well. (Normal, non-suppressor related, muzzle devices can also be timed).
