| I have a AAC M4 2000 on a 51T blackout flas hider mount. Last year I had to send in my can because of a defective mounting latch that was worn out from normal mounting and dismounting. AAC replaced it no problems now the new latch is damaging my 51T mounts on the teeth for the mounts. It appears to be bending or flating the ends of the teeth on the flash hider. Has anyone else had this issue? I ended up tossing out one flash hider I thought it was just old and been worn out but now the replacement one is being damaged as well. These flash hider mounts are not cheap in price either. Ruffly 100 dollars after tax. Please anyone who know what I am taking about post on here thanks |

I hate asking but you are only putting it on the mount and taking it off when you are actively shooting at the range, right?
I've just come across too many silencer owners spinning it on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off like they are practicing a reload or something. I'm not saying that you are, just asking a question. |

I generally hold mine down as well.
Not always though. My first latch was one with bad heat treat. It wore very very quickly. Even with the bad heat treat it lasted almost 2 years before it gave up the ghost. New one isn't showing any wear other than finish wear after a few months of use. When I first got it I did several ons and offs to make sure it was better than the original latch. Itll last me a very very long time |
