I have researched this quite a bit but am still a novice when it comes to suppressors.   I am looking for an entry level 30 cal suppressor to use in my 300blk, and 5.56.  I do realize that suppressors should be considered a lifetime purchase so cost should be factored as an investment, rather than a pure price buy.  That said, I am really looking at an entry level suppressor that can be had for $600-1k top end all- in, including stamp but excluding cost of mounts ( I realize I'll need to swap out my AAC 18t and a2 on my rifles).  Ideally, the cost would be on the low end of the above range but I am trying to be realistic. Does such a thing exist?

My rifles don't get shot a lot simply because of work and family priorities,  so it will likely never see hard use.  100-300 rounds per rifle per year is typical for the foreseeable future.

I just got a YHM Phantom M2 for $$850 all in including stamp and an extra mount. They are heavy as shit but have decent suppression and at a great price point. Silencer Shop had them for $591 last time I checked.

That looks like it might hit the mark.   How does it sound?

SWR specwar is in your price range. ~$800 IIRC It comes with a QD mount, also so you don't have to buy a separate one. I'm sure it is About as heavy as the YHM.

ETA: just saw the price for that YHM....

I am a big fan of the AAC Cyclone; great bang for the buck.
AAC is supposedly bringing back the 762SD(?) not to be confused with the ever popular 762SDN6; which for a long time had very good reviews.
The 762SDN was my first choice but they had stopped producing it when I made my purchase.

Other great cans are the Liberty Freedom or Victory.
SAS Arbiter
and the very popular Thunderbeast Arms 30P-1
take a look at SRT also; I've heard good things about his cans

SWR Spec War.

$720 @ Silencer Shop.

Very solid lock up on the QD system

One of the most quiet (see Silencer Shop video)

It is on the heavy side but not too bad.

You might want to wait a little and do some research on the AAC 762SD (not the N6).  According to reports from the SHOT show, AAC is re-releasing it.  It will accept the 51T mount, and will be a tad longer and heavier (I think 22 oz) than the N6.  Supposedly, a db or two quieter. Since it's basically a QD Cyclone, I'm guessing price at some place like Silencershop will be around $750.

Whatever happened to that YHM LTA?  Has it ever come in stock anywhere?  That would be an even better deal.

I've got the YHM 7.62 Phantom QD. I run 308, 300blk, 7.62x54r, and 5.56 through it. It's definitely a heavy piece to add to the front of your rifle, but it locks up nice and tight. I've never had a problem with it ratcheting itself off or anything. I can shoot 5.56 through it without hearing protection pretty comfortably and that's quiet enough for me.

When it comes to subsonics, the 300blk sounds like a racking cough and .308s from my bolt gun are just a puffing sound.

I use an AAC SDN-6 on my 5.56, .308 and 9" 30 BLK. I've been very happy with it.  Paid $890.

This.   Also look at the SpecWar in your price range.   What dealer are you going to go through?

Not sure what dealer yet.  I have a few class 3 dealers local to me (Philadelphia suburbs)
