I have both. Unless weight is an issue, I would pick the Sparrow.

If you have the option to get a Spectre II, I would pick it over the Sparrow and Alpine.

-----

Edited to add my reasons.

The encapsulation system is better on the Sparrow than on the Alpine.
The Sparrow is stainless steel with a steel tube while the Alpine has an aluminum tube and baffles. The stainless steel lets you use the dip on the Sparrow monocore.
The Sparrow is shorter than the Alpine
The O-ring engagement system of the Sparrow is a benefit if you can utilize it.
The Alpine is lighter than the Sparrow

Why I like the Spectre II over the Sparrow? It has baffles which suit my system of cleaning better (stainless pin tumbling) and in some cases the Sparrow has FRP.

For Form 4 users, customer service should be your top concern! A brief search on ALL the Outback customers that are now receiving NO customer service
from GT should be a major concern for anyone considering a purchase from that company. The sparrow's support system is tops, hands down! Is it worth a little longer wait? I would think so!!!
