So how do you do the length for an integral suppressor, the entire barrel length, or just the length of the suppressor part?

Google BATFE FAQ NFA. Basically, if the can in perm attached its considered bbl.

It would be the entire barrel length. So if its not going to be an sbr, you need to put at least 16"

Only will pay one stamp...the suppressor stamp...as long as it's permanent on the bbl...doesn't matter how long it will be.

What? It matters a lot if he's putting it on an AR-15 lower with a stock.

An integrally suppressed barrel that's shorter than 16" will turn a stocked AR-15 into a SBR. That would require a Form 1 for the barrel/suppressor and a Form 1 for the AR lower, so 2 stamps total. If the integrally suppressed barrel is 16"+ inches, then he can put it on any AR-15 lower without registering an SBR and only 1 stamp.

If this is for a handgun barrel or an AR pistol build, then it doesn't matter what the length is.

I'm thinking of building it for a 10.5" 458 socom barrel. I have a form 1  in for a 8.2" 300bo pistol  already.  If I build it integral or pin it,  I won’t need to worry about which lower it goes on.

I'm also considering doing a ruger mkii.
