| See you in 2015!! Pulled the trigger on one this morning online at Silencer Shop. Hope I don't get buyer's remorse. I really wanted a Surefire can for the longest but after many restless nights of thinking, talking, and research I decided on the Specwar. I just can't see where the extra $600 was going to (after cost, tax, and stamp). I'm sure it can be justified but y'all know what I mean. I know how the stamp waiting goes as I've gone through 4 SBRs. Time to forget about this all. |

Guys at Silencershop told me not to expect anything for 6 months |

It was just a friendly jab, I have a Specwar in jail that I've been unsuccessfully trying to forget as well.
I thought the consensus was not to expect that as the new norm for e-filing..? |

If the 41P deal gets squashed I'll eventually get a Surefire can. I'm not an "operator" so I won't be wielding my carbine around 24/7. Even so the Specwar should be just fine. Don't think that surefire is going to do anything more than your Specwar. You made a good choice. |

Maybe for a Form 3. I doubt we'll see anything before 9 months in today's climate. I'd be surprised otherwise. My paperwork was E-filed as well.. |

Damn really? Maybe there is hope.. When did e-filing start? I've been out of the loop until recent. Quoted:

Random ass question. Since Silencerco bought SWR, it it technically called Silencerco Specwar 556 or is it still SWR MFG? My Warlock II has SWR and Silencerco engraved on the tube. The Form 4 lists the manufacturer as Silencerco. It is still marketed as an SWR product. |

Mine!! I really want a Saker, though Why? I just don't get the general blind love/want for the Saker around here. Sure it's a nice can, but at over $350 more than the Specwar, I'm not sure I really see a justification for the Saker. As for the full auto rating, how many are really gonna be shooting full auto? Is it lighter, if so I'll concede that, but not at a $350+ premium. Hands down, the Specwar is the better value of the two, by a long shot, especially for the average suppressed Joe. |

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the Specwar; best value for what you get. However, I want a Saker for my second suppressor because I have a YHM QD mount on my LWRC upper ( thought I was going to buy a YHM M2 Titanium Suppressor but Dave at Silencershop talked me into buying the Specwar) and I really like the fact that I can use the Saker with the YHM QD Mount. That is the biggest selling point for me, plus the interchangeable end caps. I don't shoot F/A except on my work gun, and I can't make any modifications on my work rifle. |

The Saker holds some real appeal as a persons sole 5.56 can. That said, they really need to role out some more mounting module styles (A2, SF, and Gemtech) for it to be more versatile. |

I'd agree that the Specwar is the better value especially since it comes with the stellite baffles now. As far as I know the Specwar is warrantied to a 10" barrel and the Saker can go down all the way to 7" so there is that. Not sure how much effect the flash hider on the Saker has; I plan on testing it with some PV14's to see if it makes a difference. Also being able to switch to an A2 mount (when it comes out) is a definite plus. There is also the MAAD brake which looks pretty neat; essentially a quick attach muzzle brake. |

I don't own any suppressors at the moment so I'm not invested in certain mounts. I'm starting fresh so to speak with the ASR mounting system. If I already owned AAC's I would have purchased the Saker because of the MAAD mount. This vid also sold me on the Specwar.

FYI, I e-formed a Form 3 and it was 22 days for approval. Submitted 11/5 and approval email came back 11/27 Our last round of incoming form 3's (paper) were closer to 100 days. |

Anybody know if the Specwar 556 w/trifecta mount will work on a 10.3 barrel with a DDMK18 RIS II? Thanks, Rob In case anyone else is wondering about this in the future I called Silencerco and spoke with CS. Their official answer is yes, it will work. Now I just have to wait my 9 months.... Rob |
