I’m trying to find a good option for a thread on .30 caliber can. It would be for .308 and .300 BLK, but having the ability to shoot 300 Win Mag would be nice.  I’ve looked at a few, but maybe you guys have some options that I haven’t considered.

My considerations in order of priority:
Size: length, weight
Durability
Manufacturer: reputation and customer service
Noise reduction: good cans should sound about the same
Price: Buying the right can the first time is money well spent. I don’t care if I spend a little more to get the right can.

Options include (in no particular order):
Thunder Beast 30P-1
Gemtech HVT
AAC Cyclone
Liberty Victory or Freedom

What else is out there?

Huntertown Arms Kestrel .308 may be an excellent option for you.

If weight wasn't a top priority I'd suggest you check out OPS Inc 3rd Model or Allen Engineering's 30 caliber model.

I have shot the Liberty Freedom on the 308 and the 300 WInMag. It is amazing at how well it work with both recoil on the WinMag and sound suppression.

I own an AAC cyclone.  For the price it is outstanding and ranks near the top in suppression.  It is all steel though and a bit heavier.  If you have a few hundred more to spend, and lighter weight is a big concern, choose the thunderbeast.

I'm with Glock63.  I own an AAC Cyclone, and it's amazing how quiet it is.  100% hearing safe on my 26" .308, quieter than a .22.  Not by much, but still quieter.

During lunch, I picked up the Form 4's from my transfer dealer for my Cyclone that I purchased during Silencer Shop's "Christmas in May" sale.

It's going to be a long wait...

Absolutely this.  This can is the greatest can no one has heard about.

Lightest out there, but after using a steel HVT I'd have concerns about POI shift and accuracy issues.

Don't forget the new Templar Tactical offerings.

Here are a few videos from last weeks demo that we did.

Not sure how much POI shift and accuracy matters to you, but if they are important, I'd recommend the TBAC 30P-1.  All  the precision rifle shooters I know run TBACs.

My bolt gun is a bit more accurate with the Sandstorm than without.  With my gas gun, it seems to be a toss up.

POI shift is consistent when mounting the can.  Overall I've been very pleased.  I've gone with a different quick detach can for my gas gun, but for a bolt rifle, the Sandstorm has worked very well for me.

I'd strongly consider TBAC as well.

I just sent in a Form 4 for a Sandstorm. It seemed nicely put together and my LGS had it in stock . Fuck this extra 3 months for the Form 3. My Silencerco SS purchased on May 3 still hasn't shipped.

If a user is just going to put the can on there and leave it, will they overcome most of these issues?

It will depend on the rifle, some rifles the can improved accuracy, others it turned from 1/2" guns to 1 1/2" guns.  POI shift on my SCAR 17 was about 6" at 25 yds.

I asked this exact question to the guys at The Silencer Shop here in Austin, TX when i went in to purchase my SilencerCo Saker about a month ago.  The response was quick and to the point.  Thunder Beast.

I've been leaning very heavily toward the Thunder Beast.  I seems that its the hot ticket on the precision boards.

I haven't shot my Cyclone with sub-loads yet; makes a difference with full power loads though.
I'm looking for the perfect can for 300 Blackout and entertaining the idea of AAC 300-TM to multi-purpose

I went with the templar archangle.
