| Ive decided that my next toy will be a can. Ive been told by my local Class 3 dealer to do a lot of research before committing to a can. Ive formed a NFA trust because my local sheriff has a no class 3 policy he holds and next is to decide on the can. I want one for my AR but was quickly detoured because he says that a AR wont cycle properly with subsonic loads. Is this true? I am an avid handloader and believe that I can load anything with very much accuracy. I want a can that will be used for 223 and 22LR. The dealer suggested a 30 caliber to be used as versitile but I have no desire to use a 30 caliber weapon that is suppressed. |

There is a suppressor forum under the Armory tab.
You cant/shouldnt shoot 22lr through a centerfire suppressor. Generlly because they cannot be cleaned. MAYBE if you got one of the new 5.56 cans that is user serviceable (Kestral I think) No subsonic rounds will not cycle the action in a .223/5.56 AR I would buy a 22lr suppressor If you want a centerfire down the road, get a .308 can so it can be used on .223 and 7.62 platforms. |

Once you start running a suppressor, you will be looking through your safe for barrels to thread. Wait til you slide a 300blk upper on that AR. That is LOVE right there. Get a 30 cal can. You can thank me later. |

Get a 30 cal can. You can thank me later. I have to agree. While some guns are better to suppress, Any suppressed gun will be quieter than the same gun unsuppressed. A suppressed 30-06 might still be loud, but it's a hell of a lot better than being unsuppressed. |

| I would strongly recommend looking at Surefire Socom 7.62 Mini suppressor. Will work on anything .308 cal and smaller, same weight and length as a full size 5.56 suppressor, plus prices on them are cheaper then the original legend older 7.62 series. I have a Surefire 5.56 Mini and the Socom 7.62 Mini will be my next NFA item... |
