I was thinking of getting one of these for my next silencer, currently have a Sparrow. I was thinking of the 9MM which I could use with a .300 blackout upper that I would build, 9MM MP5 clone and 9 MM handgun Glock 17, Hi Power or Sig 226. But if I go with the .45 it gives me another platform plus the ones I already mentioned, my question is will the SWR 3 lug adapter also fit on the .45 Octane or is it limited to just the 9MM Octane ? Is the .45 as quiet on the 9MM host or just go with 9MM and get a .45 suppressor the next time ?

I don't have a 9mm can yet but i'm far from disappointed with my 45 osprey on my beretta 92

i'd say to go for the 45

Gt the 45 and use it on the 9.  That's my approach.

the 45 does everything the 9 does, and more.  buy both eventually.  I had the opsrey45 first, and then had to get the octane45.....b/c they share pistons and are two different approaches.

I had already ordered the octane 9 before the 45 came out.  But I had been planning on the .45 osprey so that is ok, I dont shoot .45 enough that I really feel like I need a take apart can.  Also since the octane and osprey share the pistons I can use the osprey .45 on my 9mm and not have to buy anything else.
