I am trying to keep my 10.5 inch as compact as possible. The 96D is too front end heavy, and too long. Any suggestions?
Thanks |
| I don't like recommending AAC due to the total waste of money anything with their 18 tooth mount is (hey, I have an m4-1000 and I hold a grudge), but I do have a Mini-4 and I like it a lot. The 51 tooth mounting system seems pretty good to me, and the Mini-4 is a fairly good can. The length and weight are great for a compact SBR application and to be honest, I don't think it's any louder on my 10.5 upper than a full size can, at least to the shooter. |

Confused by the statement in red. All their cans are now using the 51 tooth. I have not seen any actually 90 something tooth mounts or cans out yet. Ive never had a problem with my M4-2000. Surefire has a nice line as well. My dealer stock AAC and not surefire. So I would go for the AAC if you were in my shoes. I do think the Surefire cans are sexy though. I will buy one some day |

And the second part to that was that I hold a grudge...one of my first cans was an M4-1000 and I really regret that purchase. I swore I'd never buy another AAC can but when I wanted a mini size can for 223, there they were with a pretty good offering in the Mini-4. I can't deny that I like my Mini-4 quite a lot. |
