| Does anyone know the estimated lifespan of the QD teeth on the can? Whats it made of, plastic or some sort of alloy/steel? I'm wondering how many turns wil it take before either its wears down completely or that little parts works itself out and I loose it in the haas some where. |

The latch is metal, but softer than the teeth on the mounts. However, it is easy enough to just depress the ratchet while screwing the can on the last few turns, and the latch won't wear at all. If it wears, they will replace it, but you will be without your can for a while. |

It's not the latch, but how hard it is to get out and replace it with a new one without screwing up your can. They changed the design in their new cans to make this easier. |

The turn around I have seen has normally been 2-4 weeks for this work. |
