Well after they bought and moved moved Bushmaster, it has taken almost a year for my PD to purchase 3 m4's.  Still calling...still getting the run a round.......still waiting.......

we need to see more gun companies moving OUT of "gun valley", not back into. it pains me greatly to see firearms manufacturers, especially NFA manufacturers, in the most anti-gun states in the union.

That's your PD's problem, buying Bushmasters in the first place - BTDT.

Freedom Group going to strip another company and put people out of work?

Most PD's list specific MFG's and models of AR's that are approved for duty use for either personal purchase or dept issue weapons.  I'm pretty sure (not saying this is what dept the poster above is with) that PA State Police requires either a Colt LE/SP6920 or a Bushy Patrolmans Carbine (M4), and the 20" Bushmaster AR-15A2.  I don't think optics are authorized either...only irons...but that may have been updated.

It seems AAC is not moving and the internet rumors are at work again
This is what Mike said on another forum
.
.
.
With the exception of Jason, every single post in this thread is from the myopic position of the outside looking in. Yes, Kevin and Lynsey are gone. Despite their high profile, the two of them did not constitute the whole of AAC. The same talent pool of thinkers, dreamers, designers, and mad scientists that are responsible for 95% of all the AAC products you own and love, are all still in the house and working hard. AAC is an extremely succesful part of the FGI family. It would not make $ense to move the company or take any other action that would result in a loss of true talent.

AAC had job postings a couple of months ago posted on Remington's website that listed location of jobs in Lawrenceville, GA. I doubt they would hire new people for GA if they immediately planned on shipping everyone to NY.

In the corporate world this is nothing new.  When company A buys out company B, company A will pick and choose who is going to lead that part of the company.  Working for a company that has bought out several other smaller companies, I have seen this a lot and is just a normal part of business.  Don't expect higher people up like Lyndsey and Kevin didn't get some kind of compensation package before getting the boot at AAC.  But I am surprised to see TFG to take so long to move along with different leadership.  All the mergers that I have been part of, we have started to clean house within 6 months of taking over a company.

They pulled the original story and replaced it with this. I still think Rob Curtis should issue an apology and retraction for his shitty journalism considering it was based on a "rumor," and maintains the title even though his story later quotes an FGI rep stating that it was untrue. Shoddy reporting work, and apparently nothing more than shit-stirring. And he apparently doesn't even have the gumption to admit that the story was inaccurate and based on false information, yet printed it anyway. At least Stickman has credibility.

Military Times has about the same credibility of the National Inquirer.  They're full of shit.

It is still corporate double speak.  They sould deny the move until the day it was annouced to prevent talent from leaving.

However, they would be stupid to move it to New York.

ETA:  Teh differnece between corporate leaders and the captain and officers of the cruise ship concordia . . . .  it legal and considered good form to leave the sinking coporate ship and let the passengers and crew fend for themselves in the coporate world.

I am not implying that AAC is a sinking ship . . .  I am making a statement on the normal truth and veracity of corporate leaders assuring workers that their jobs are safe.
