Anyone running a Noveske switchblock? Worth the extra $$ for a suppressed rifle? I am, and most definitely so. I do not have my can yet, but I will tell you this. My rifle will BARELY eject the casing when firing M855, but will not pick up a new round, when in the "S" setting. That tells me a TON! less gas is going to the BCG in the S setting, yet with a can on, it functions "as normal" according to Noveske (I say that, just because I don't have my can to test it yet, although there are a billion Youtube vids showing that it works fine). Why would you want all that extra gas beating your rifle up and blasting into your face? Get the switchblock unless you want the rifle WAY! over-gassed with the can on. Here is a good Youtube of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPwGFpZV_BU Oh, it will make the rifle into a straight-pull single-shot if you want, in the "Off" position. Kinda nice. The action noise ALONE (bolt being dropped on an empty chamber) on the AR-15 has been metered at 126 dB at the shooter's right ear. Something to think about... Also, less gas out the ejection port on the "S" setting will make it about 1-3dB quieter at the ear due to less gas out the ejection port. |
