Anyone have any thoughts on running Berry's or other plated (pistol) bullets through a can?
I'd like to run them through my SBR 9mm when my paperwork clears (YHM Wraith XL). P.s. Anyone have any pet loads for subsonic 147 gr 9mm? |

Just 'hit up the google...lots of info.... Are we sure the erosion issues aren't a function of an abrasive (gun) powder vs. sintered lead-free bullets of a certain manufacter? I thought I'd read somewhere that the true "lead free" copper bullets had a nickel component to them that caused erosion.

| Still waiting on my stamp for my Trident 9. As far as pet loads, I've borrowed one from a fellow GSSF shooter, and I'm sold on it. 147 grain plated round, 3.3 grains of VV N320 at 1.135" OAL. It's an extremely light shooting round, but it's about 850 fps from my glock 17 and reliably cycles my Glocks, 9mm AR, and MP5s. Also, the round is very clean burning, almost to the point of not noticing any carbon fouling in the pistol. |

LRM is an 9MM upper and suppressor. Said the plating will erode the baffle. They dont use baffles that wont erode and the over ported barrel may grab some of the plating is why went with the SRT integral that has none of those problems.
Many people shoot thousands of plated bullets through can without problems including me. plated bullets through a can |
