Money not being an issue. Would you go with the AAC mini4 or the SF micro/mini?

You need to post WAY more details about what you want to suppress. But since you asked what I would buy, make it a Mini-4.

If it were my first can, I'd lean towards a full-size suppressor, personally.

Neither.  Assuming you have a rifle chambered in PCC, pick a subsonic pistol caliber or 22lr, and the corresponding suppressor.

This is the answer.  My advice is get a .22 suppressor.

It's going to go on a 12" SBR. The gun is mainly used for killing hogs and coyotes. That's why I'm looking for a light suppressor, every bit of weight adds up when your carrying the gun for half a day or longer. I like the mini suppressors because they don't add a whole lot of length to the gun. I think adding a full size suppressor to a SBR kind of defeats the purpose of having a short barrel.

I've got a friend with a suppressed .22 pistol that I can shoot when ever we go to the range. That's why I was wanting to get a .223 suppressor now, and a .22 some time down the road.

The 5.56mm round is not a quite round anyway so I think a mini suppressor would do fine for you.  I would go with the Surefire, I think they have the best mounting system, but they are both good choices.

I don't know about the minis but the SF FA556-212 sounds great and is only an inch longer.

Then build a 9mm or .45acp AR upper.  Its way more fun to have a very quiet shot, and then a big THWAPPP as the round hits. Or how about ditching the AR platform and get a 38 or 44 special bolt action ruger or lever action, cut and thread the barrel, attach can, and go.  I havent shot .223 in over a year b/c suppressed subsonic PC is way more fun.

I would hands-down get a Mini-4 for that application. Use a muzzle brake to help with wear on the can, plus the strength of the fully-welded inconel baffle stack, and you have one very durable silencer.

I have a 10.5", and I wanted to suppress my .308 bolt action as well, plus any other AR calibers I choose down the road, so I got an SDN-6. It was the best can for my needs, and if I had a 12" or longer AR, I might have chosen something different due to the size and weight compared to the Mini-4.
