i've got lots of guns and no way to quiet any of them down.  so i'm thinking if i set up one of my ARs to accept the AAC 762SD suppressor then it will serve as incentive to actually follow through with getting one.

is the above mount the correct mount to attach the AAC 762SD to one of my ARs currently wearing a plain old A2 flash suppressor?

i'm gonna place an order anyway and i figure on tossing one of those in the basket if so...

As long as you are ordering the new 51T version of the 762SD then yes that is the one!

TRG gonna help with the "installation"?

Don't forget about the new 762-SDN-6.

Shorter and lighter.  Makes it nicer for passing around to different carbines.

It depends on which 762 can you get, the old ones are 18 tooth and the new ones are 51 tooth

same sound reduction? price?

i'm on a budget, most of this is coming from the sale of a NIB SP6920 that i've decided to unass...

Based on the website the sdn-6 is quieter by 1 db in 7.62, but also costs more due to it being a new can.  If your around San Antonio I've got a 7.62sd and m4-2000 if you'd like to try em first

MSRP is $1050, I picked one up for $850 and I've heard of lower prices.

A bit better sound reduction but the length and weight are really going to come in handy.
