Haha, Malcolm must have sent our forms in the same envelope. My Osprey also went pending 4/12 and was approved 5/11. Couple more weeks and we'll both be enjoying our new cans! Lets hope its not a couple of weeks. After looking at nfatracker dot com it can take up to a month to receive the stamps from shipman |

My last two that Shipmann did took 2-3 weeks to receive once they were approved. |

Who's your examiner?
You could call and ask to talk to Ted Clutter, he's the boss of the examiners. A correction I went pending on 25 Jan 2011. What does pending actually mean? FBI investigation green light...back to ATF? My examiner is Chris (a woman). First time she had seen my file was today while we had a conversation. She took my number and indicated she would work it in this week. She also said it's taking about 4-5 months for approval FWIW. I'm not sure this is an examiner problem or a process issue. All 3 ATF people I've talked with have been very pleasant and spared me all the BS responses. |

For some reason she is the slowest damn examiner they have.
Pending just means that it has been assigned to an examiner and will be sitting on their desk until they decide you have waited long enough for them to work on it. |

That sucks I was hoping to have it before my wife got back from out of town so I could go to the range for several hours. |

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just called and was told I was approved on May 16th(yesterday). I went pending 03/07/11. 70 days pending to approved!!
Congrats! Who was your examiner? I'm going on 170 days and my examiner (Farris) had not even looked at my Form4 until yesterday's talk. So "anyone but Farris" stickies on Form submittals may be a good idea for future NFA stuff. |

She is also the examiner on my second Form 4 that went pending April 9th and Frushour(spelling?) is assigned my Form 1 that went pending May 5th. |

what's the current wait time these days? i'm hearing about 4 months ???? Really depends on what examiner you get. Could be as quick as 45-60 days from sending to approval, or it could be 4-6 months. My first two took 3 months door to door, current one is at 3 months+ and looks like it could easily be 1-2 months more.

| Awesome news guys! I sent out 10 the day yours went out. The trust transfers started being approved around 25 April- through 11th. Should have another round of 10-11 transfers that went in about a week later. A trust on Shipman went 48 days from mailbox to approval and 14 more days to receive it! |
| Mine was sent out around the 15th of this month. I called yesterday and the very nice women who answered the phone told me it wasn't pending yet, but once the check was cashed it would go to pending. I haven't had a Form 4 processed for a few years but it seems like it was about 2-3 weeks between when the check was cashed and when it moved to pending. This time I took advantage of a manufacturers "we'll pay your tax stamp" promo so I'll never know when the check was cashed. Damn wait game... this never gets easier. At least on Form 1s you can still play with your rifle while waiting for the SBR God to grant you permission. |

| AAC 45 Tirant approved today! Submitted in early Dec 2010 and pending on 25 Jan 2011. Last week's phone call made a difference. I certainly recommend everyone one in waiting have a good discussion with your examiner. I will be buying pistons for 40 & 9/22. Anyone know of any AAC coupon codes? |
