Check mailed 02/02/11... could have been the 3rd. Check cashed 02/08/11 Assigned to examiner 03/07/11 My SOT says they usually get form 4's back in about 4 months. The last couple they got back were just shy of 2. I'm hoping for the 2. |
| I'm waiting on my first can....submitted the Form 1 the last week of Nov 2010. It's my understanding that you call 304-616-4500 to find out your assigned agent. Are there any polite tactics to speed up the process? Perhaps asking your agent for an update for the nfatracking website account? It took me ~ 6months to get a C&R FFL several years back and the agent kept telling me it's coming at the 3 month mark....seems like a public tracking site with their names linked to the waits may pressure some agents some to get on the ball.....or at least quit spouting off inaccurate timelines. |

Well... my second check was cashed on 03/23 for the Prodigy. I still haven't sent out my form 1 yet to SBR my Ar.
Quick question for anyone that can help. Do I add the Lower to my property form on the trust before I sent it out since I already own it? Or do I wait to add it when the approved Form 1 gets back? |

I may be wrong on this, but...I add items to my trust after they are approved. But, you can put non-NFA items in your trust anyway, so since you already have the lower and you're registering to the trust as an SBR, then I'd think you might as well go ahead and put it in the trust. |

I've got an SPR/M4 5.56 can went pending Jan 28th. A week away from 90 days since pending. Trust.
It is absolutely ridiculous that these forms take this long to process in the 21st century with computers and instant access to information. By the time you get a can purchased, transferred to your dealer and then transferred to yourself, they have new, better shit out on the market. When I started buying cans several years ago, and SBR'ing rifles, the form 1 and form 4 were taking 30 days. My first 4 transfers were 30 days or under. All this delay is pure politics and a function of the Obummer adminstruation |

Bought my Osprey 9 (in stock) in early January, but I think it sat on my sot's desk for a while since my check wasnt cashed till 3/28!!! Oh well, I got a great deal so I don't really mind. Anyway called today and found out that I went pending on 4/12 and am currently "under review" ... Whatever that means. My sot said he has been getting most forms back in less than two months, some as fast as a month! Snook used to handle his form 4's but from the looking I have done recently it looks like shipman is now handling the "S's" hoping to get good news soon
