I'm in the process of getting ready to start thinking about getting a suppressor.

I've figured out the need for a License (C&R FFL) in Missouri.

Probably gonna go the trust route, Still trying to figure who all you can apply it so. (1 friend,S.O.) But that's for some more reading later on.

My question is Right now both my AR's are in .223/556 and I plan on a .308.

So if I Pick up a suppressor in .308 can I still use it one the .223/556?  I know the sound reduction won't be as good as a dedicated .223/556 can but will it still provided a noticable reduction.

I'm just trying for the most bang for my buck, till I can afford a can for each setup or decide I even like the suppressor as much as I think I will.

So point a brother in the right direction if any of this makes sense.

Thanks

Yes you need a C&R license (minimum acceptable license) to own modern NFA in MO.  However, ATF will not issue a license to a trust .. so forget about going the "trust route" in MO, its been hashed and re-hashed and its a moot point.   Your options are either individual or corporate.

Yes you can take a 308 can and install on a 223 and have it work.  You may give up a few db but is completely doable!

It's more of a weight issue than sound suppression to me. If you are anywhere near St. Louis or Osage Beach you can try my 7.62 and 5.56 cans out and make up your own mind. I really urge you to try them out before buying, especially if you only have AR's.

You can do your LLC online pretty easily here, or just go for the LEO sign off and prints. I lean towards the LLC but I really don't feel like getting into that one (again). If you do go with the LLC you need to get that going right away as you need that before submitting for the C&R, then the can, then the other can, then the MG and then the subgun, and then.....  Don't worry though, the LLC is way cheaper than your first transfer and takes about 3.5 min. to do online.
