If you have an SBR, plan to get one, shoot full auto, or want the best AAC offers than get the 2000.
If you have a 308 or plan to get one, I would go with the 762SD which is more money than the 1000 but offers similar suppression when used on an AR. It weighs more and is larger in dimensions but it gives you alot of flexibility. FYI the 1000 and 762SD use the 18T mounts and the 2000 uses the 51T mount which has more variations at the moment. |
| Like everything else, I think it depends on your needs and intended use. The 1000 only has an iconnel blast baffle whereas in the 2000, all baffles are iconnel. I presume this means that if you want to own and use it for a long long time or use it it under a heavy firing schedule, that the 2000 would be a better investment. As noted, the 2000 currently has a much better choice of mounts. |

how about shooting alot of .22 ammo out of it good or bad idea? Bad idea as 22 puts all kinds of lead deposits in the can and baffles and most centerfire cans, including AAC, don't come apart for cleaning. I did see some dude that the range yesterday with a Coastal can that he was swapping between his 22 bolt gun and his AR. Those come apart but the 223 suppression was not impressive IMO. |

What 5.56 suppressor is it unimpressive compared to? |

My cashiers check cleared, mid week 2, now week 11. NFA still has not seen my Form 4. They are really backlogged right now. I dont understand the bolded part of your comment? Once they cash your check someone somewhere at the branch has your paper work in front of them right? It might be in a pile of applications but its there and in line. Also from what I have read and heard, it depends on your shops name for the examiner you get. Ive seen some apps sit wile others have an extremely quick turn around. There was a thread on here the other day that I was reading where someone had a 40 day turn around. |

I'd call back and if it is still not in the system I'd contact your dealer. |

My M41K is quieter than my friends YHM, and there have been plenty of threads on here that have said dedicated 5.56 cans do the job better than 7.62 cans. I assume you mean your m41000 is quieter shooting 223 than your friend shooting 223 through his YHM Phantom 7.62. While that may be true with the YHM, the 762SD meters pretty damn close to the m41000 when shooting 223 through it. Dedicated 223/556 cans only suppress better than top of class 308 cans when they are also top of class 556 cans. |
| I've got the M4-1000 and it works great. I use it with my 11.5" barreled AR-15 and a few 16" uppers. I can shoot it with no hearing protection with no discomfort. There are more expensive cans out there that may be a little quieter, but for the price, it was the best choice available to me. I have no regrets for the purchase. |

How about getting back to work! You have like 6 more mos of waiting anyway. I know, how about calling to see if you are pending yet, they have nothing better to do than answer your calls. HHHHHAAAAAAAA Quoted:
when you shoot it do you still need hearing protection? (I know you should always use it) but just out of curiosity is it still pretty loud? |

Actually, they don't have anything better to do than answer the phones. They have people dedicated to answering the phones and checking on statuses. It doesn't affect anybody's wait. |

Actually this is not completely true. The 762SD now comes with the 51T mount even though they told many customers they'd never change from the 18T mount. Lots of unhappy people. Yeah I am one of the unhappy campers. My original post was from before they formally admitted the change over when stocking dealers started receiving units. |
