Anyone here own one? I recently got a killer deal on a brand new 9mm Raptor (not the Raptor II). It's got the tri-lug mount which will work on six of my current weapons. Just sent in the Form 4 so it will be a while before I take possession of it. Any comments on the Raptor (good or bad) are welcomed.

I have one and I like it. It is very light and does a good job suppressing. I have it in three lug and also have a three lug mount on my Colt 6450. Got mine for a good price too from a dealer that shot very few rounds through it. It is quieter than my CQB and a lot lighter. It is also a little quieter than the Raptor II according to Dater when we were chatting at the SAR show. Mine took 3 months to transfer. Looking at getting a 5.56 can from Gemtech next.

Seriously, does no one else on here own a Raptor? Is there anything wrong with them or are they just not popular?

Do a search, there was a guy just last week posting pics of his new Raptor.

***The RAPTOR series of suppressors are absolutely proven workhorses. Been around for a long time, millions of rounds through them collectively, endorsed by NTOA, in duty use all over the country, durable and quiet.

The reason you probably don't see them that much (especially on this site) is that they are generally for SMGs, especially the MP5, which just ain't that popular a platform in LE or for commercial shooters as compared to ARs/M4s.

If I was a civilian tax-stamp-payin' kinda guy with a 9mm carbine to suppress, I'd get a MULTIMOUNT for the flexibility we give you with the most mounts on the market and some lighter, shorter options.  If I was buying a dedicated SMG can for routine full auto usage, you can't beat the durability of the RAPTOR cans.

Some guy on youtube with an example of the GEMTECH RAPTOR-II.

...and a find of an AR15 9mm with RAPTOR-hushification, since we're talking about them and all.

ARFCOM INDUSTRY DISCLOSURE:  I'm thinking about buying some backyard chickens. I mean, I won't really amortize the expenses of the coop, the setup, etc. on a few free eggs, but the concept interests me, so what the heck. It's like a pet you can eat without guilt if things go wrong.

Here is my Raptor on the Colt 6450. I really like it and will be buying more Gemtech very soon.
