| Not sure what forum this belongs in so I'm asking here. I've been toying with the idea of getting a suppressor, I was looking at the Gemtech Halo which quickly mounts to a standard A2 birdcage flash suppressor, seems very convenient. However, is there any loss in accuracy with this setup? I have a PWS FSC556 on my SPRish rifle, from what I've read the Halo is not compatible with this device, are there any others that are? Any other suggestions? |

A good suppressor will often increase accuracy a small amount, and also yield a small increase in velocity (don't get too excited––think 20 fps).
SilencerTalk is good for suppressor-specific discussion, and www.silencerresearch.com (well worth the $30 membership) is great for numbers. Your only issue is that a suppressed gun can get pretty dirty, due to the amount of blowback into the action, as a result of increased back pressure. |
