I want a suppressor for use on a 16" midlength.  It'll be used both for running "run and gun" type drills as well as shooting at distance from a bench or prone.

What do you guys recommend?  I'd like to avoid spending absolute top dollar, but I don't want a piece of shit either.  Something that is QD and doesn't drastically change POI would be great, too.

check out silencertalk.com for some great information...I personally own a few AAC's and Knights NT4's and would say it's like comparing apples to apples IMO..

I don't want to sound like a dick, but please, please try the search function.

There is a thread discussing this that is still on the first page––just ignore it after page 2.

I really like the AAC M2000, of course the AAC M1000 is still very effective and costs less. I have a friend who has a YHM suppressor which is a good bang for the buck. Of course since you are running a 16" barrel then a reflex type suppressor might be better like the AAC SPR.

Thank you for the info.  Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by "reflex type suppressor"?

Reflex suppressor goes back over the barrel. My example is a Surefire.

Mount: The muzzle of the barrel is around the wrench flats.

Suppressor mounted: Note that the suppressor slides back over the mount so that the barrel extends into the suppressor by about 2.75 inches

Can't speak for anyone but my self but I really didn't notice that much of a diffrence in several of the top MFGs.

I personally went with my first 5.56 can this weekend as they were having a sale. Gemtech Halo

Why does Ops Inc seem to always be overlooked?
They are rather inexpensive compared to AAC & Surefire and have equal if not superior sound reduction and reliability, they are also extensively used by DoD
This claim is of course internet sofa surfing and not actual first hand end knowledge
