After firing thru my .22 AAC Pilot suppressor a total of only 10 - 15 times, I've found that it no longer suppresses the sound and has developed a gas leak at the seam located at the base end.  Any thoughts as to what's wrong?  I've contacted AAC but to date have not received a reply.  Thanks ahead for any replys and/or suggestions as to what the problem might be.

Take photos and post a video.

I want to see this.

Anyway, Call AND E-Mail Mike Mers at AAC and he will take care of you.

They are in the process of moving and setting up shop in a new facility.

They have been crazy busy with that project, so give them some time.

Questions:

1. Was the can new or used.

2. Who did you buy the can from?

3. You said that you only fired 10-15 rounds out of it?

4.  If you were in Washington, how could you be firing a suppressed gun anyway, isn't it illegal to attach them to a firearm?  J/K

Oh yeah . . . IBTST

Its not illegal to attach a can to a firearm, but its illegal to shoot with it on.
Many times I have gone to a range or a secluded spot and the police and fire dept are
shooting there guns with cans attached.
What a stupid law
Maybe he lives close to ID or OR and takes a small drive like I do.

Really sorry to hear that your new can took a nosedive

Thanks for the suggestions.  The can was a new local purchase.  I'll give the AAC folks some time to get back.  Oh, and before I forget...  ID and OR are not that far away and given that my son, grand kids and g. grand kids all live in AK...  neither is Alaska.  Tis nice to be retired  Thanks again.
