Im sorry if this has been asked before, i  researched it a bit and could not find anything.  I know i should not really care but i do.  I set my rifle down near my range bag last weekend and my can was touching the material and left a nice portion of the can with the material burnt on.  Any ideas or advice on how if at all possible of removing it would be a big help.

Thanks!

Surefire 556k if that helps.

My friend did the exact same thing to my FA556AR. He put a mag through it and then set the rifle with can attached down on my nylon rifle case.

Get it good and hot and then use anything that won’t also melt. Leather or cotton may burn but won’t melt and won’t scratch up the finish, either.
